Lady Gaga brought her signature edgy aesthetic to the desert for her Coachella set this past weekend, lighting up the stage in a minidress and thigh-high boots on Friday — as one of many looks she showcased throughout the night.
Gaga, who is one of the Coachella headliners this year, went with a grungy all-black look at one point when she performed on the first day of the festival in Indio, CA. She went with a lingerie-adjacent look with a Samuel Lewis x Seth Pratt dress worn with a lacy layer over just one shoulder. Among multiple hairstyles, she showcased black micro bangs.
As for her shoes, Gaga kept things relatively tame with a pair of over-the-knee boots which seemingly hailed from Steve Madden. She looked to be wearing the brand’s Leza style, which features a close-fitting shaft, rounded toe and low block heel measuring 1.5 inches. The shoes are crafted from vegan leather and retail for $129.95, though they are currently on sale for $89.99.
The shoes might seem like a surprising choice for Gaga, not only for their price point, but for their relatively simple design. The pop star is known for donning bold, unconventional footwear designs — and it’s well known that she can keep her balance in an ultra-high platform heel, whether it’s Marc Jacobs Kiki boots or Pleaser boots. What’s more, Lady Gaga isn’t the only star to have worn Steve Madden during the first weekend of Coachella — Tyla switched things up in the midst of her performance by changing into the brand’s Paxtin Chestnut style, which is a high-top sneaker.
