Nicole Kidman had a reveal planned on Thursday for the Academy of Country Music Awards. The actress appeared at the Met Gala on Monday having seemingly undergone a haircut. But on the ACM red carpet in Frisco, Texas, she revealed it was just a trick, wearing her hair straight down.
Kidman chose an all-black look from the New York City-based brand Monse. It included a black leather buckle bustier. For the bottom half, she wore the brand’s deconstructed tailored skirt trouser. This had the effect of a skirt worn over trousers.
The trousers are long, covering much of the shoe. The sharply pointed toe is visible, as well as the low-cut vamp. The performer was styled by Jason Bolden.
Kidman has worn a variety of types of shoes over the years. When she was at South by Southwest earlier this year she chose one of the newest Christian Louboutin styles: the Miss Z pump. That is the company’s newest pump silhouette, based on the classic Kate and So Kate styles. On that same trip, she wore the Jacquemus Bisou sandal in red.
Hosted by Reba McEntire, the annual award show honors the country music industry’s artists and respective accomplishments from the previous year. First starting in 1966, this year’s ceremony includes appearances from Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Lainey Wilson and more.
