Nina Dobrev Gets Casual in Flats at Ralph Lauren Team USA Celebration

Nina Dobrev slipped into a pair of brown pointed-toe flats for the Ralph Lauren Team USA celebration in Paris, France on Saturday evening.
Styled by Lauren Jeworski, Dobrev took pictures ahead of the event in a dark navy blue button-down dress from Ralph Lauren, which she paired underneath a matching blazer that featured sharp shoulder panels and a tailored look. Her pumps, which were likely from the brand as well, were crafted with sleek patent leather material and an angular toe box.
Pointed-toe silhouettes are known as a preferred shoe for red carpets and formal occasions. Various designers including Chanel and Valentino offer pointed-toe models regularly as a part of their catalog. The popularity of the slim and chunky shoes with an angular toe-box has started re-emerging again in the 2020s. In early 2024, the style started trending again with stylists recommending pointed shoes to achieve simple and classic looks for spring and summer. It is expected to continue being a major trend throughout the remainder of 2024, and especially as we approach the fall and winter seasons.
Dobrev was last spotted at the Olympic Opening Day ceremony alongside Olympian boyfriend Shaun White, wearing a pair of Miu Miu loafers that featured a distressed look against the leather upper, and an embroidered logo along the tongue that sat above a gold coin within the toe strap.

Once again styled by Jeworski, she paired her loafers with a white t-shirt and a pair of trouser shorts, alongside a black Ralph Lauren leather jacket that featured quilted shoulder panels and graphic patches along the sides of the zipper closure. She completed her ensemble with white cat-eye sunglasses, a black leather shoulder bag and silver jewelry.
The 2024 Olympics officially begin on July 26. The multi-sport event will run from now until August 11.
