Pedro Pascal can be counted on to bring lightheartedness to screens big and small as much as he can deliver gruff determination — and his fashion sense matches his acting prowess. Unafraid to spice things up and step outside prescribed sartorial norms, Pascal dressed up for the Season Two premiere of “The Last of Us” on Monday in Los Angeles wearing thigh-high black leather boots from Saint Laurent with a dapper blazer and turtleneck.
Pascal, who stars alongside Bella Ramsey in the HBO adaptation of the video game of the same name, went for a unique take on menswear for the special occasion in Los Angeles. Evoking a certain Scottish sensibility, he wore a peak lapel single-breasted blazer with a plaid pattern featuring mute hues of blue, turquoise and black. Adding a cozy touch to his ensemble, a periwinkle ribbed knit turtleneck was underneath his jacket. As for his pants, the actor appeared to be wearing a black leather pair that tucked into his boots. A set of pink-tinted sunglasses from Linda Farrow accented his academic look.
Pascal’s boots were arguably the star of the show. He looked to be wearing a pair that walked the runway for Saint Laurent’s fall 2025 show in January during Paris Fashion Week, which proved to be a buzzy element of the men’s showcase — and a silhouette Pascal was willing to try on. The shoes featured a relatively wide shaft and a pronounced outline along the upper. Stitching contributed to the eye-catching aesthetic of the shoes.
As reported by WWD’s Miles Socha, the Saint Laurent fall 2025 collection was based on designer Anthony Vaccarello’s idea of Yves Saint Laurent meeting Robert Mapplethorpe. Socha wrote, “Vaccarello was unable to verify any encounter between the two men, but he plowed ahead and imagined they had one to create his fall 2025 Saint Laurent menswear collection, which hinged on handsome, double-breasted tailoring and dollops of subversion, including black leather thigh boots for every model, even those already wearing leather pants.”
The much-anticipated Season 2 of “The Last of Us” is set to premiere on April 13.
