Queen Camilla took versatile shoes for a spin during her and King Charles III’s first state visit to France.
On Thursday, the royal — along with Charles, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron — visited the Paris Flower Market in a pair of brown pumps. Her leather style featured rounded toes, complete with closed counters and faintly curved heels totaling at least 2 inches in height.
The Queen’s formal footwear served as a clean base for her outfit for the occasion: a black long-sleeved dress with a flounced neckline and knee-length hem, covered in a white foliage pattern. The piece was layered under a white coat to ward against the Parisian chill, which Camilla accented with a diamond-trimmed brooch, pearl drop earrings and blue and gold Van Cleef & Arpels clover charm bracelet.
Similar low-heeled pumps are a go-to for Queen Camilla during formal occasions — including her visit to France. During a state dinner on Wednesday, she also wore a dark blue set by Sole Bliss beneath a sweeping blue Dior couture dress.
When it comes to shoes, Queen Camilla has frequently worn Sole Bliss and Chanel’s block-heeled pumps in a range of neutral, navy and pink tones over the years for formal occasions. In winter months, these are occasionally swapped for knee-high suede or riding boots; all are often worn with single-toned outfits, similar to her predecessor, Queen Elizabeth II. Camilla’s style is also punctuated by her extensive handbag collection, which primarily features clutches and top-handle bags by Chanel, Fendi and Demellier London.
