SZA was decked out in red, from her hair to her shoes, to join in on Kendrick Lamar‘s Super Bowl LIX halftime performance in New Orleans on Feb. 9.
Performing both “Luther” and “All the Stars,” songs she shares with the rapper, SZA was a sight to behold in her monochrome scarlet ensemble. She wore a distressed multi-textured corset top, a leather jacket and leather pants featuring criss-crossing fabric lacing up the sides of each leg. Her hair was worn in cascading curls colored a deep shade of red.
SZA’s red-on-red look appeared to be completed by a pair of Converse Chuck 70 sneakers. From the laces and eyelets to the sole, the shoes seemed to be entirely red, an eye-caching hue that matched the rest of her outfit. Dancers featured in the halftime show appeared to be wearing Converse as well.
The “Snooze” singer maintains an eclectic and distinctive sense of style. Her footwear recently caught attention when she wore a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals featuring a fishbone design to the Grammys earlier this month. In another statement-making footwear moment, she donned a pair of sparkling, spiraling Rene Caovilla sandals featuring flower adornments at the BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards in September 2024.
Super Bowl LIX sees the Philadelphia Eagles facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA. The Chiefs are looking to become the first NFL team to win three championships in a row following last year’s win against the San Fransisco 49ers in Las Vegas. Kendrick Lamar will headline the halftime show for the Super Bowl this year.
