Venus Williams Opts for Monochrome Green Look and Debuts Modern Sporty Pumps From Lacoste’s Fall 2025 Show In Paris

Venus Williams displayed different shades of green at the Lacoste Fall Ready To Wear 2025 fashion show as part of Paris Fashion Week on March 9 in France.

The former tennis star was dressed head-to-toe in Lacoste, sporting a headscarf as her most attention grabbing accessory—but her shoes weren’t far behind. She wore a pair of striking shoes from the brand that were a cross between sneakers, pumps and booties. They appeared similar to Sara Blakely’s Sneex, which launched last year.

The high-heel pumps were perched on a slanted stiletto heel, and are ruched all along the top-line around the ankle. The shoes feature a mix of a patent leather in a darker shade of green around the toe box and a matte leather along the vamp. There is a slight rubber trim along the sole of the shoe, that added a sporty, more casual flare to the style. A model on the runway at the show sported the shoes as well, and the label’s signature crocodile mascot is featured on the side of the foot above the heel.

Williams paired the shoes with a dark green dress that reached down to her knee, with a pair of shimmering green socks and a matching overcoat that she wore draped around her shoulders. She wore a silk Lacoste scarf wrapped around her head, a style that has become a symbol of femininity since the 1950s. She paired the look with one of the new bags from Lacoste’s Fall 2025 collection, also in green.

Lacoste kicked off the last Sunday morning of Paris Fashion Week with the tennis focused runway show, which was named “An Invitation” and was designed by the label’s creative director Pelagia Kolotouros. The event took place at the Roland Garros Stadium, which is located in Paris and hosts the French Open. Aside from Williams, other guests included Sampha, Claire Danes, Adrien Brody, Taylor Zakhar Perez and more.

The athlete has been a longtime supporter of the brand and previously attended the French fashion brand’s 90th anniversary anniversary at a rooftop party at Nine Orchard in New York City during New York Fashion Week in September 2023.
