Baby Phat is officially back, marking its new debut with a velour-packed collection — all designed by none other than founder Kimora Lee Simmons.

“This drop is a celebration of an era that left an indelible mark on fashion history,” Simmons said of the collection in a brand statement. “The cross-generational love of individuality and self-expression represents the timeless nature of the early 2000s. That era’s continued impact continues to delight consumers and I know they’ll find themselves in the spirit of these pieces.”

The Y2K label’s relaunch for its new fall 2023 collection, which retails from $40 to $100, strongly leans into that signature era — where the brand was beloved by stars including Paris Hilton, Cam’ron and Lil’Kim, among others. Available online now, Baby Phat’s new offerings include pale pink and black velour tracksuits covered in its signature debossed cat logo, as well as separates like crop tops, tube tops and miniskirts.

The brand is also notably highlighting its size inclusivity in its relaunch since Simmons regained sole ownership of it in 2019, with pieces available in sizes XS to XXL. The first velour drop particularly takes center stage in its new campaign, where a variety of models pose in the separates — all accented by pieces like fluffy heels, pointed mules and ombré sunglasses in the same glamorous spirit as the early 2000s.

As for the future, Simmons is continuing to champion the Y2K revival in Baby Phat’s upcoming “’99 Classics” line. In its future drop-style offerings, which can now be pre-ordered online, the label will bring back its famed line of denim with logo-branded back pockets. Additional pieces include cargo pants, corset tops and baby tees in similar black, white and pink color palettes.
