The time has come for Pharrell Williams to co-chair the Met Gala (again), taking up the mantle in 2025 for the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” alongside Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton and A$AP Rocky. The musician and Louis Vuitton men’s creative director has attended the elite philanthropic event several times in the past, usually coordinating outfits with his wife Helen Lasichanh.
While one can only speculate what Williams might wear to the upcoming iteration of the party he’s co-chairing, his past looks have been wide ranging, from a classic tuxedo and dress shoes in 2011 for the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” theme to a leather western look with metallic-toe boots in 2021 for “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” When he co-chaired in 2016 for “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between,” he went a more casual route with jeans, a plaid shirt, a leather jacket and red Doc Marten brogues.
