Though H.H. Brown is more than 140 years old, it is continuing to deliver newness.
The footwear manufacturer and distributor revealed its newest brand on Monday, Align, which will offer a number of men’s designs that it stated pairs innovative technology with contemporary style.
“Align exists at the crossroads of form and function, where timeless design meets rugged dependability and where refined style doesn’t come at the cost of real-world comfort,” H.H. Brown senior footwear designer David Mondrick told FN. “In a competitive market, Align stands out with the value our shoes offer consumers, crafting each style with premium leather and essential technology.”
Consumers can expect variety from Align’s first season — which features 14 different models — including sneakers, loafers, oxfords and more. Some highlights of its spring-summer 2025 range include the Archer loafer (available in three colorways), the Verano low-cut sneaker (which will debut in four colorways), the Enzo hiking boot (available in a trio of colors) and the trail running-inspired Breck in three colorways.
The shoes are built with podiatrist-designed dual-density footbeds underfoot. “It’s the equivalent of having a $50-$100 aftermarket insole built into the shoe,” Mondrick said.
Also, Align built the looks with weatherproof leather uppers, sealed-seam construction and slip-resistant outsoles.
Mondrick believes Align solves a persistent problem in footwear: value.
“Too often, men are stuck having to choose between craftsmanship or comfort, performance or style, quality or cost. Align helps close the gap by offering footwear that feels as good as it looks and lasts as long as it should,” he said. “People underestimate the importance of foot health, often overlooking arch support to focus on cool-looking styles, but then aren’t realizing aches and pains in their knees, lower backs and even up to their necks are due to their choices in footwear. We’ve made it a built-in feature.”
The spring-summer 2025 collection from Align is now available via Alignshoe.com and at select specialty and department stores, including Dillard’s.
Looking ahead, Mondrick said the plan is to expand.
“We’re really excited about our upcoming fall 2025 collection, which will bring our premium leathers, specialty details and supportive technology into exciting but essential fall silhouettes,” he said. “We’ll continue to draw inspiration from global trends and incorporate partner and consumer feedback as we design for 2026 and beyond. We will be a reliable source men look to for any of their footwear needs.”
