Adidas’ D Lillard 1 Team Pack Releasing Sept. 11
Even though the brand just signed Houston Rockets star guard James Harden, its attention to its other athletes isn’t wavering, as Adidas announced the upcoming release of the D Lillard 1 team pack today.
The D Lillard 1, the signature shoe of star Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, will have four new colorways as part of the pack: royal blue, power red, core black and white. The sneakers will hit shelves Sept. 11.
The shoes feature a synthetic leather two-tone upper, a reflective tonal snakeprint design that contrasts with the iced outsole and a reflective stripe that anchors the lace system. It also has the brand’s Adiprene+ cushioning technology in the forefoot, a Techfit bootie and a Sprintframe construction for better stability and speed. The D Lillard branding is featured on the left heel, and the word Dame is stitched on the tongue of the right shoe.
The shoes also feature a personal touch from Lillard, who is known for dabbling in rap music when he isn’t breaking down defenses on the court. A verse from his “4 Bar Friday” series on social media makes its way onto the sock liner of each shoe. The verse speaks to his basketball journey from youth to the NBA, saluting the director of the Oakland Rebels AAU program, Raymond Young.
