Deion Sanders’ retro signature line has been one of the most well-received Nike Sportswear reissues in recent years. Whether it’s the former two-sport star and current Colorado Buffaloes head coach’s first sneaker, the Nike Air Diamond Turf, or the more aggressive, mid-1990s favorite Nike Air DT Max ’96, nearly every release has experienced a quick sell out. With the warm reception these shoes have received, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Nike reportedly has plans to bring back another famous Sanders signature model.

According to Sole Retriever, Sanders’ Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 sneaker is due for a rerelease in spring 2026. The model was the second shoe in Sanders’ popular Nike line, which ran from 1993 through 1998.

The Air Diamond Turf 2 was originally released in 1994, while Sanders had a brief stint playing with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL and was the same year he was traded from the Atlanta Braves to the Cincinnati Reds in Major League Baseball. Thankfully for Sanders — and Nike — the white, red and gold palettes used on most of the model’s original colorways were easily matched to the each of the team’s uniforms.

Side by side, it’s evident that the Air Diamond Turf 2 is a sequel to the first Air Diamond Turf. The shoes both use a near-identical mid-cut silhouette with metallic mesh cut-outs, chunky Velcro support straps, and Air-cushioned midsoles.

The Air Diamond Turf 2’s design is ever so slightly more aggressive than its predecessor, unintentionally foreshadowing what would come next on the Air DT Max ’96. Retros of the Air Diamond Turf 2 have been far less common than the other models; the sneaker’s only notable retro run came in 2012 and it was last seen at retail in 2014.

Although the upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 retro haven’t been confirmed, fans can more than likely expect the shoe’s original white/black and red/gold colorways to return in ’26. Interested readers will want to check back for more updates soon but in the meantime, there’s plenty on the way from Sanders’ other Nike sneakers
