Salehe Bembury and Nina Chanel Abney’s Crocs Collab Will Be Limited to Just 1,000 Pairs
Salehe Bembury is turning to the creator of one of 2024’s best sneaker collaborations for the latest entry into his “Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job” series.
The Nina Chanel Abney x Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog will release this week with a run of just 1,000 pairs. Mismatched artwork prints appear across the two black and white foam clogs, the right shoe featuring a checkerboard print and the left a similar arrangement of faces. Pink TPU pops on the tongue and heel, and a checkerboard nylon strap hosts a pink badge with “NCA” and another smiley face. On the insole, you’ll see those same two marks repeated.
Abney is no stranger to footwear collaborations, having been responsible for an Air Jordan 3 last year that was widely lauded and included a hand-drawn Nike Air chenille logo on the heel and a riff on the Jumpman that made her the first artist to play with such branding.

A prior project saw her design an Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 2 for simultaneous release, and she also linked with Timberland in 2023.
Bembury’s “Art Friends” series, meanwhile, began last year with a Futura collaboration and added Jonas Wood in the summer. Each of the three drops has been limited to 1,000 pairs and available exclusively through Bembury’s website.
The Nina Chanel Abney x Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog will release at 12 p.m. EST Wednesday, April 30, through Bembury’s Be a Spunge site. Pricing is set at $95.
