Ronnie Fieg‘s annual Kithmas collection is seeing its sneaker options grow, as the Asics EX89 “Outdoor” joins a new crop of Kith x Clarks x Adidas Samba releasing for the holidays.
Red and green both feature on Kith‘s EX89 but are more accenting colors than the main feature. The suede upper’s underlays are rendered in two shades of lan, while the overlays come in dark blue. Asics‘ signature Tiger Stripes are then rendered in green, while red decorates the heel stabilizer, Kith script tongue patch, sockliner, and lower-most eyelets.
The EX89 is an upgraded version of the Gel-Extreme, which originally released in 1989 as a basketball shoe. Asics just brought back the model late last year, and it makes use of a full-length Blast insole and a Blast heel wedge for added comfort.
The Kithmas collection releases Dec. 8 with collaborations including Peanuts, Chips Ahoy, Yeti, Timberland, Swarovski, and more. Like the forthcoming assortment of Sambas, however, the EX89 will release after the bulk of the collection.
The Kith x Asics EX89 “Outdoor” is slated to release Dec. 11 through Kith’s website and physical stores. A drawing for the sneakers is also live right now on Kith’s app. Pricing for the sneakers is set at $130.
