Vans is officially getting spooky with their brand new 2024 Halloween collection. In the spirit of Friday the 13th and Halloween being next month, the iconic shoe brand has announced its latest offering, which includes a range of spooky-themed sneakers in celebration of the fall season.
Up first is the latest iteration of Knu Skool low-top sneakers in the color “In the Shadows White/Black.” Featuring a puffed-up tongue, 3D-molded Sidestripe and oversized chunky laces, per the brand, the Halloween version of this shoe includes dark port red accents on the logos and waffle sole for a haunting touch, and a metal skull lace charms and creeper-style toe caps for the dark sinister edge.
The Sk8-Hi shoes also received a ghoul-like update in a red/black shade, which has shadowy prints and metal skull lace charms at the top lace hole alongside its traditional signature padded collar for ankle support, reinforced toe caps and iconic Vans Sidestripe.
There’s something about an all-black shoe that screams “Halloween” and horror movies, which is exactly why this all-black version of the Old Skool Shoe is perfect for the season. Splashed in a deep black color with matching black laces, there’s also the addition of a spider and web embroidery for the extra haunting touch.
Lastly, there’s this SK8-Hi Tapered Shoe, which also gets a Halloween revision through a spider and web embroidery. Classic features typically associated with the Sk8 such as the slender build, the signature waffle rubber outsole, the padded collar for enhanced support and traction and the deconstructed upper remain a key part of the silhouette.
Collections like these are a part of a new Vans initiative entitled “Always Pushing,” which is a creative direction that will guide the brand’s events, experiences and special product releases through summer and fall 2024. The new approach emphasizes the “youthful optimism” of skateboarding culture and honors the idea of pushing the limits in skateboarding and beyond.
