Beyoncé has been going Western as of late, opting for boots and other leather footwear as of late. It is timed for the roll out of her “country-themed “Cowboy Carter” album. For the cover of that album, she is wearing a pair of white boots from Paris Texas. The footwear was the Paloma Mid-Calf boot style. In one song from the album, titled “Sweet Honey Buckiin,” the Dallas-based label Lucchese is name-checked in a lyric.

During the era of her prior album, “Renaissance,” the singer also wore cowboy boots but opted for versions in silver and chrome for a futuristic vibe.

About the shoes

Beyonce’s boots were the Versace Tribute Medallion boots. The footwear features a tall stiletto heel and pointed toe. The boot is made of 100% calf leather. It also prominently includes two round gold Medusa medallions. One medallion is over the toe and the other is further up the boot.

The shoe’s side zip makes it easier to slip on and off.

Versace: A Designer’s Legacy

Founded by Gianni Versace, the Versace label has become synonymous with a type of Italian high fashion glamour often known for its flashy prints, frequent use of gold and other bold colors. The brand has been influential in the industry since its founding in 1978. Following the death of Gianni Versace in 1997, Donatella Versace took over the brand.

The company was bought by Michael Kors Holdings for more than $2 billion. In the transaction, Michael Kors Holdings rebranded as Capri Holdings. Over the years, Donatella has worked with shoe designers like Salehe Bembury who was the vice president of sneakers and men’s footwear in 2020.
