Jovani Hernandez Having recently announced its latest collaboration with adidas via a lookbook starring Adrian Grenier, KITH has just unveiled the six sneakers that make up its Summer 2021 capsule with the Three Stripes.
Adding the KITH Classics touch to mainstays within the adidas Originals roster, the New York City-based label has replaced each model’s standard namesake on the lateral mid-foot with its own. The adidas Samba, Superstar and Campus 80s featured in the collaborative collection maintain a relatively muted color palette complemented with rich green at the upper heel panel. Grey suede profile 3-Stripes also appear on all three trainers, while a slightly-yellowed sole unit cushions the latter two; the Jerry Lorenzo-endorsed Samba keeps its iconic gum brown tooling.
Similarly, the adidas Country included in KITH’s summer-ready capsule indulges in a light gum brown outsole. It, like the accompanying Gazelle and Pro Model, however, boasts a deep navy hit at the heel, abandoning the aforementioned green. The premium mix of leather and pigskin suede on this second trio follows a minimal approach too, while featuring gold foil “KITH CLASSICS” at the lateral mid-foot. Co-branding lands on all six options’ rear overlays, with left sides donning the Ronnie Fieg-led brand’s classic logo.
