Brooks

Brooks is putting “pride with every stride” in its spring 2024 Run Proud collection. The sportswear brand tapped queer artist Adam Dalton Blake for designs that celebrate the LGBTQ+ running community with its Trace 3 sneakers and socks. The vibrant designs incorporate iridescent illustrations of runners, whimsical graphics and nod to a message of connectivity. The footwear features soft midsoles with DNA Loft cushioning designed to adapt to strides and enhance conditions for comfort; the outsoles include segmented crash pads that help absorb impact; and mesh uppers allow feet to breathe. “We all run, walk, and strut together, each at our different pace and seemingly in our own little worlds,” said Blake. “This shoe and sock design showcases how all of us can independently come together to make one harmonious, bold and layered identity.” The footwear retails for $100 on brooksrunning.com.

LGBTQIA+ support: Brooks provides more than $5 million per year in cash and merchandise to support social impact programs. The brand aims to create inclusive and accessible running communities with 40% more diverse runners represented by 2025. Brooks is also a supporter of Front Runners, a worldwide affiliation of LGBTQ+ running and walking clubs.
